HOBART

EATS AND DRINKS

The Whaler

A classic waterfront old school pub, the Lobster Roll and chips is a must!

Jackman and McRoss

The best bakery going, one of the best beef pies you’ll have, all Tassie beef - yum! They also do some damn good rolls, sweats and breads!

Landscape Restaurant

A fine dining restaurant with a menu revolved around Tassie Beef and open fire cooking, all steaks are cooked over old whisky barrels! They do a mad grilled octopus dish too.

Aloft

Another fine dining spot over looking the Derwent, a set menu full of all Tassie produce. This really is something special and worth the treat.

Preachers

Hidden a street back from the waterfront a funky little pub, full of great beers and a killer beer garden! They do some great burgers too. This is our first stop always!

Hobart Brewing Co

Great rustic brewery in an old waterside shed, some real good beers and a good vibe.

Ed Spuntino Cafe

Our favourite spot for a coffee, you pretty much sit in the kitchen and watch Ed cook-up some homestyle treats. A damn good coffee.

Cascade Brewery

Great spot to grab a pint of the tassie classic under the shadows of Australia’s oldest brewery and Mt Wellington.

DO’S

Salamanca Market

The famous markets every Saturday live up to their hype, local goods and creations along with plenty of great eats!

Farmgate Markets

Every Sunday locals bring all of their fresh produce and homemade treats to fill the street of all the good stuff. A great spot to gather some goods before heading out of town. Its true love with this place.

Mona

A must visit to bend the mind, a place full of weird and wonderful installations and some great spots to grab some lunch or a drink after. Make sure you pre buy your tickets and take the iconic camouflage funky ferry there! Thats an experience in itself.

Bruny Island

A short drive and car ferry over to Bruny island is a great day out, this little island with a few residents and some picturesque bays is a must to explore. Make sure you stop for some fresh oysters at Get Shucked and a beer and cheese board at Bruny Island Cheese Company.

EAST COAST

EATS AND DRINKS

Waubs Harbour Distillery

Possibly one of the coolest distilleries going, an old ocean side Oyster Hatchery converted into a Whisky Distillery now creating some of Tassies best drops. A barrel room cooled by the ocean breeze and vats cooled by ocean water make this a true maritime whisky!

Melshell Oyster Shack

A caravan besides the oyster fields serving Tassies best oysters. No frills, damn cheap and an absolute must.

Devils Corner Wines

Some tasty local wines overlooking the Great Oyster Bay and Freycinet National Park, they sling some good pizzas and bites too from pop-up kitchens.

Freycinet Marine Farm

A rustic seafood shack dealing all things local seafood, a great selection of plates with all the favs!

DO’S

Freycinet National Park

A place full of the most iconic views going, heaps of different walks, Wine Glass Bay is worth the hike or if your feeling up for it, continuing on the Hazards Beach circuit makes a full day of views! A beer at Freycinet Lodge is a must reward too.

Bicheno Town

Cool little coastal town, full of the small town classics.
